And, what better way to celebrate the end of school term than with an action packed fun run.
Hundreds of secondary and primary students from Scone Grammar School converged on the sports ground to participate in the CUA School Fun Run organised by the school’s P&F.
Heart rates weren’t the only thing raised from the event – with all money going towards an upgrade to the Primary playground.
“We came up with the idea to do a colour run for the first time this year,” said P&F representative Erryn Day.
“All donations have been made from families and friends of the students through sponsorship to participate in the fun run.
“They have all been so pumped – it’s a great little celebration to end the term,” Erryn said.
Scone Grammar School teacher Nat Kelly also helped to organise the fun run and said it had been very well received by students and families.
“We are just excited the P&F came on board,” Ms Kelly said.
“Last year we organised a walkathon to raise money for books.
“The colour runs are just fun and they’re the craze at the moment – so we thought why not give it a try.”
The funds raised will also go towards a hedge maze in the primary playground.
