The cattle judging competition saw a number of competitors from the wider Scone area showcase their skills in the ring.
Most notably, Travis Lamey from Willow Tree was awarded champion parader under 16 years and presented the Gordon Fuller Memorial Trophy by Roger Fuller.
Also from Willow Tree was nine-year-old Thomas Devine, who was awarded Singleton Show’s junior champion parader in the cattle judging competition.
Cattle enthusiasts now turn their attention to the 2017 Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza at White Park, Scone which runs from October 27 to 29 featuring a variety of competitions.
The annual event in Scone enables beef enthusiasts and established producers to showcase their cattle, learn more about the beef industry and network with other producers.
The 2016 event was an outstanding success with excellent entries including 320 prime cattle 50 heifers and around 800 paraders and junior judges.
The Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza consists of open led cattle classes and carcase competition, open unled prime classes and carcase competition, interactive unled judging display, junior meat judging competition and junior judging and parader’s competitions.
Online entries for 2017 close on October 16.
