With pens and papers at the ready, hundreds of Year 12 students embarked on their Higher School Certificate journey this week.
The exams run for four weeks and kicked off with English Paper 1 on Monday morning.
The theme this year is “Discovery” and students wrote about a prescribed text and completed a creative writing piece.
Today pupils at Scone High School walked out confident after their second sitting of English exams with Paper 2.
Year 12 student Kayla Flaherty said she entered the exam hall nervous but came out feeling confident.
“We are pretty excited that it’s finally happening and we are so close to finishing school,” she said.
Head English teacher Sarah Paine said it was a very busy time of year for students.
“They have been preparing for this day for a long time and are all busy working out what they will do after school finishes,” she said.
“We wish them the very best for the exams and whatever they chose to do with their future.”
The Higher School Certificate exams run until Tuesday November 7.
