And, what better way to send off spring and welcome the festive season than a twilight market?
The school’s third annual Homegrown, Handmade Markets were another success with plenty eager to find that perfect gift made with care for the Christmas stocking.
With a record number of 66 stalls, there was truly something for everyone, from local honey and jam to freshly picked Gulgong Cherries and local alpaca fleece courtesy of Fiona and Stuart Marshall from Towarri Alpacas at Wingen.
Stuart Marshall who brought in a number of his alpacas on the day said it was the second year they had set up a stall and are looking forward to returning next year.
“There are varieties of bi-products that can be made from an alpaca, but today we are selling the fleece to be used for spinning,” he said.
And, for those with a sweet tooth there were plenty of goodies to tantalise the tastebuds.
Homemade shortbread and Christmas cake was in abundance, along with local products from Pukura Estate and Hunter Belle Cheese.
