Family-friendly activities planned as part of 'Come and Try Day' initiative

Scone Golf Club is hosting a family-friendly 'Come and Try Day' this Sunday in a bid to introduce people to the game.

The initiative is part of Golf Month celebrations, with clubs across Australia also joining in by organising special events throughout October.

Activities at Scone will be held from 10.30am-2pm and include putt-putt golf, target golf, accuracy skills, and a big hitting competition.

All ages and skill levels are welcome; equipment needed will be provided by the club.

Every adult who participates in a Golf Month activity goes into the draw to win a prize for the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open in Adelaide from February 14-19.

The prize includes:

- Two (2) return economy airfares from the winners nearest Australian capital city to Adelaide Airport (flight associated taxes are included);

- 5 nights’ accommodation in a double or twin share room at the Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel, Adelaide

- All car transfers from Adelaide airport to the accommodation venue (and return) and also from the accommodation venue to Royal Adelaide Golf Club (and return) while in Adelaide;

- One (1) playing spot in the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open Pro-Am on Wednesday 15 February 2017 with a time and group to be chosen by Golf Australia;

- Two (2) season clubhouse passes to the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Royal Adelaide Golf Club for the dates 16-19 February 2017 inclusive;

 – Two (2) passes for ‘inside the ropes’ access at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open 16-19 February 2017 inclusive;

- Two (2) passes to the Golf Australia Club at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Royal Adelaide Golf Club for the dates 16-19 February 2017 inclusive;

- Two (2) passes to the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open Gala Dinner on Tuesday, 14 February 2017 at the Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel in Adelaide;

- Round of golf for two (2) at The Grange Golf Club in Grange, SA;

- Round of golf for two (2) at Kooyonga Golf Club in Lockleys, SA;

- Lunch for two (2) at Magill Estate Restaurant in Magill, SA;

- Two (2) tickets to attend an Adelaide Fringe Festival event during the week.

The Grand Prize is valued at a maximum of $4200.
