Man impaled on fence picket at Murrurundi
AN elderly man has been impaled on a fence picket at a property at Murrurundi.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter is rendezvousing with an ambulance at Muswellbrook District Hospital to transport the 78-year-old, who sustained a serious chest wound.
It is believed the man received the injury following an incident with a garden stake.
He will be transported to John Hunter Hospital.
