The 23-month-old siblings of Nicky Ainley and Chris Lavis were featured on Channel 7’s The Morning Show this week, during a special Christmas photo segment, with co-host Kylie Gillies labelling the duo’s picture “her favourite”.

The reason: the toddlers simply didn’t want to be there, crying and screaming out for “mum and dad” with a not-so-impressed look from the “man in red” adding to the comedic “happy snap”.  

“Yeah, I’ve been blown away by the interest in the pic, which was taken during the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular,” Ms Ainley admitted.

“But, I love that it’s giving people a giggle over the festive period.

“We did get some lovely pics with the whole family at the end, however only with all of us in it,” she added with a laugh.”

Ms Ainley had nothing but praise for Father Christmas.

“Santa was brilliant,” she said.

“We were the first ones of the night – and he actually suggested trying them on their own. 

“The boys were only with Santa for about a minute.

“And, we didn’t realise how great a sport he had been until we saw the pictures afterwards.

“He really made the shot.

“Santa was great and the boys shook hands with him, and received candy canes, so everyone left happy.

“I can’t wait to see what happens next year.”
