Visiting trainers Peter and Paul Snowden, Anthony and Edward Cummings, Bjorn Baker, Clarry Conners, Kim Waugh, Kris Lees, Paul Perry and Ben Smith have each named a number of runners, which will face a strong Upper Hunter contingent including Paul Messara, Brett Cavanough, Rod Northam, Pat Farrell, Jan Bowen, Tim McIntosh and Mark Schmetzer.
Twenty-nine gallopers are nominated for the Buy A Turangga Yearling Maiden Plate (1100m) while the Kia Ora Stud Class 1 Handicap (1300m) and More Than Ready @ Vinery Maiden Plate (1300m) boast 23 and 21 respectively.
Apart from the seven-race TAB card on Wednesday, December 27, there’ll be something for all ages, according to the club’s marketing and event administrator Anaïs Boubier.
“The Family Race Day is our second-last event for the year – and features free children’s activities,” she said.
“We’ll have a water slide, an obstacle course and face painting.
“The final [seven-race] meeting is on Saturday, December 30.
“So, book into the function centre for a buffet lunch.
“Entry is free both days, with gates opening at 11.30am.”
