The Rod Northam-trained four-year- old daughter of Statue Of Liberty came away from her opposition to beat the Gayne Williams-trained Dollar Thief with Mr Paul third.
Rod Northam reckoned it was a nice result.
“A nice run, she’s a nice horse,” he added.
“She’s a great type and hopefully will go on with it.”
She debuted at Muswellbrook back in late April 2016 with a fifth in a two-year- old scamper and was going so well Northam ran her in a stakes race at Scone in May of that year [won by Manaya].
“She’s had knee surgery and a few other issues,” Northam said.
“We thought we had a handy one, had showed me quite a bit on the track so we ran her in the Woodlands,” he said.
“But then she went amiss.”
Northam doesn’t have any big plans for her now and will “look for a Class 1 somewhere for her”.
