The change means watering of residential gardens is permitted only with micro-sprays, drip systems, soaker hoses between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. Watering of lawns is not permitted.
Level 4 restrictions aim to reduce the average water consumption to 200 litres per person per day and include no irrigation of new turf, no washing of walls, paved or hard areas and no emptying and refilling of pools.
Topping up of water features is permitted and topping up of pools or first fill of private pools is permitted only between 7am and 9am and 6pm and 8pm and pool covers must be used. . Filling of inflatable or children’s pools is permitted.
Washing of cars is permitted with a bucket only, on lawn between 9am and 12 noon.
