An afternoon of entertainment followed by an amazing fireworks display at dusk officially closed the program which included some major changes in 2018 such as moving the parade and Scone Grammar School Fete from Saturday to Sunday.
Scone Horse Festival committee president David Gatwood has thanked the hard working team that made it all possible.
“We’ve had a ball and the adrenaline has kept me going,” Mr Gatwood said.
“Our 2018 VIP Des Collison was a great inspiration.
“He took a week off work to attend every event.
“We really knew we made the right choice to recognise someone who makes such a strong contribution to the community and takes such pride and enjoyment from it.”
The finale was a whole community effort with food stalls, trick horse performances, an appearance from Miss Amy School of Dance, musical entertainment by The Ohs, laser tag, LED and utopian fire dancers.
Mark your dairies, the equine extravaganza returns in 2019 from Friday May 3 to Sunday May 12.
