Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women in Australia.
One in eight women in NSW will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and nine out of 10 of those women do not have a known family history of breast cancer.
BreastScreen NSW provides a high-quality service for the early detection of breast cancer. Early detection improves treatment outcomes and survival.
While women 40 or older are eligible, women 50+ are particularly encouraged to attend because breast cancer risk increases with age.
Appointments are free and only take 20 minutes.
