Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre manager Lee Watts said she is pleased with the progress of the facility.
“We are really excited with the progress that includes a track, roundabout, line marking and signage for little ones to ride their bikes while learning about road safety,” she said.
The upgrade was made possible through a successful application to the Family & Community Services Social Housing Improvement Fund to design and build a bike park for children.
Lee Watts has encouraged everyone to come along to the opening of the park on Thursday July 26 at 4pm.
“Please bring your bikes and try out the circuit then enjoy afternoon tea,” she said.
“Please give staff a quick call on 6545 2562 to let staff know you will be there, this would be appreciated and assist with catering”.
A new toilet block is also on the cards, with discussions currently being held with Upper Hunter Shire Council.
