Apart from the Biggest Morning Tea - which raised nearly $4,500 in May- it’s their major annual fundraising event.
The ‘Souper Lunch’ will be held on Tuesday July 24 at the Scone Senior Citizens’ Centre from 12pm.
The ladies have introduced a few new additions to the gathering, including scarf tying and flower arrangement demonstrations from a local florist.
“We normally have a fashion parade but this year it will be scarf tying demonstrations showing the ladies the many different styles they can be worn,” Scone Cancer Support Group’s Jenny Woodley said.
“One of the ladies from Chocolate and Moss is also going to show us how to arrange fresh flowers.
“Then of course we will have our trading table.”
Homemade soup and damper, tea, coffee and slices will be served for lunch.
Everyone is welcome and there is no need to RSVP.
Cost is a gold coin donation.
The group works together all year raising money locally through community trading tables, raffles and events like this so they can provide supplies to assist with care for cancer patients.
