The forum will be held at the Singleton Showground on Thursday, November 8 from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
At a time of great change and challenges in the beef cattle industry including coping with the current drought the day will offer beef cattle producers the chance to not only catch up with fellow producers but also hear about new technology and learn from experts.
The day will bring together industry experts, leading producers and representatives of the local cattle sector who can provide help for producers when it comes to making important decisions about their livestock and property management and how to built their farm business.
Four main main areas of focus on the day will be:
- Surviving and thriving – drought proofing and managing your property in challenging times and changing climates
- Extension and education – marketing your product, compliance, the future of the beef industry (nationally and globally), technology in practice
- The consumer – variability on eating quality and beef as a product
- Trade fair – more than 60 industry partners, including representatives from animal health, livestock handling, seed and ag chemical companies, skills training and farm tech and innovation providers. Plus government and support agencies.
This is a free event with morning tea and lunch provided.
