Vice president and treasurer Bruce Brown said they are expecting more than 100 people to gather at the Scone RSL Club on Friday November 9.
The commemorative dinner will double as a celebration marking a century since the formation of the Scone Sub-branch, emerging in 1918.
World War I ended on the 11th hour on 11th day of the 11th month 100 years ago.
As troops returned, RSL branches began to form around the country with the purpose of preserving the spirit of mateship formed amidst the horror of battle.
They also honoured the memory of the fallen and provided support.
Mr Brown said there were 492 volunteers enlisted in the Great War from Scone and surrounding areas.
“This included districts bound by Bunnan, Blandford, Aberdeen, Rouchel and Ellerston,” he said.
“About a third of them came from the Moonan, Rouchel and Stewarts Brook area.

“It was one of the highest rating areas in Australia for volunteers killed.”
The night will feature a guest speaker from the School of Infantry, Lone Pine Barracks at Singleton.
“Anyone is welcome to come,” Mr Brown added.
“They might have had a relative involved in the First World War or a story to share or photos to bring along.”
The 100 year centenary dinner begins at 6.30pm on Friday November 9.
Cost is $60 per person which includes a three course meal and drinks.
Live music by Tori Vines will go well into the night. Dress code is coat and tie.
