Last week, more Ausgrid trucks rolled into the Upper Hunter with donated hay, this time to the Upper Dartbrook area near Scone.
It’s Ausgrid’s fourth delivery on the network, including a delivery to Merriwa last month, with two trucks transporting the feed from a supplier in Victoria.
The Knight family shared the hay with seven other families in the Scone area.
“They’ve told us things are still tough and recent rains have done very little to take the pressure off Hunter region farmers,” Ausgrid CEO Richard Gross said.
“We are proud to be supporting Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale program which is really making a difference for those on the land.
“Our people are also supporting an employee campaign, and we are matching their donations dollar-for-dollar.”
