Singleton's Calum Blair, representing Sustainable Australia (NSW), has been drawn in the number one position on the Upper Hunter electorate ballot paper.

Mr Blair was not present at the draw nor has he been attending any of the local meet the candidates events however it is believed he did and may still operate a local school student tutoring business in Singleton.
The website for Sustainable Australia (NSW) states they will be campaigning on secure jobs, affordable housing, better planning and a sustainable environment.
Eight candidates nominated for the seat in the state election to be held on Saturday, March 23.
In order of their place on the ballot:
- Calum Blair, Sustainable Australia (NSW)
- Lee Watts, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers
- Michael Johnsen, The Nationals
- Claire Robertson, Animals Justice Party
- Tony Lonergan, The Greens
- Richard Stretton, Christian Democratic Party (Fred Nile Group)
- Mark Ellis, Liberal Democrats
- Melanie Dagg, Country Labor
Pre-poll voting will start on Monday, March 11, at the electoral office in Singleton Plaza.
