TFB Constructions won the tender to do the civil work, concreting and surfacing at the new facility.
Matthew and wife Paula, co-founder of TFB, grew up in Scone and attended many a rodeo event at White Park in their childhood.
“Sitting with our family on the seating watching recent displays and events, knowing the contribution that we have made is something we cherish," Matthew said.
Over 2640 man hours went into construction of the facility, over 760 cubic metres of concrete were poured, and over 6500 concrete blocks were used in tiers and retaining walls.
Matthew praised the efforts of Upper Hunter Shire Council Councillors, construction staff, project management and corporate services staff involved.
"Council has done a magnificent job ensuring everything was done properly. The facility will stand the test of time and will be a real economic driver."
He reserved the highest accolades for his team, suppliers and sub-contractors, all of whom work and live locally.
"Without them we couldn't have delivered the outstanding result we have, and it's a tribute to their skill and dedication," he said.
Those sub-contractors include: S & A Concreting- Steven Bridge, Evan Faulkner Electrical, New England Customcrete, Lee Kelly Constructions, Allday Concrete Pumps, Warwick Edwards Plumbing, Hunter Valley Brick and Block Laying, Delfs Surveying, RHM Consulting Engineers, Budshell Earthmoving and Reeves Earthmoving.
Valued suppliers included Scone Timber and Hardware, Allday Concrete, Hunter Valley Bricks and Pavers, Scone Landscape Supplies and the Thoroughbred Hotel.
