Held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre on Saturday March 9, the girls returned to the Upper Hunter with a bunch of ribbons including first place in the preliminary individual title for Scone High School student Gracie Bates.
Representing Scone Grammar School, Scone High School, St Jospeh's Aberdeen and St James Muswellbrook, all girls came home with ribbons in the events they competed in.
Competitors included Charlotte Clark (Scone Grammar School Year 6), Grace Pratley (St Joseph’s Aberdeen Year 9), Sarah Clark (Scone Grammar School Year 7), Gracie Bates (Scone High School Year 9), Ella Bennett (Scone Grammar School Year 5), Peyton Halloran (St James Muswellbrook Year 6) and Daytona Halloran (St James Year 5).
It's a fantastic results considering it was the first time the students had represented their schools at an Interschool Competition.
“All the girls represented their schools proudly at our first ever Interschool’s Competition, such a beautiful team full of praise, encouragement and friendships for each other," Ella's mum Skye Bennett said.
The girls have a busy few months ahead as they now prepare to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April and Scone's very own Horse Week Competition held on the first weekend of May 2019 at the The Scone Equestrian Vaulting Centre.
