Coles Scone store manager Carrie Edwards, who has been a member of the team for 10 years, said she was thrilled to officially share the refreshed store with the local residents.

"We know the community has been seeking an upgrade," she explained.

"And, we're excited to reveal to the residents of Scone a store that they can be proud of.

"The delicatessen has been given a new-look and we have expanded our fresh produce section to include an even wider range of fruit and veggies, which I think the local customers will really love."

The team celebrated the launch with a cake and an opening speech from the store manager.

Four of the supermarket's long-serving team members, who have collectively shared more than 100 years working at Coles, cut the cake together.
