And, it won't be any different in 2019 with former Scone High School captain Joel Bates the guest speaker this year.
The youngster visited Gallipoli as part of the Hunter Valley District Council of RSL Sub-Branches student tour in 2015.
"We're extremely delighted to have Joel involved in our ceremony," said Trish Ferguson, a member of the Gundy Anzac Day committee.
"He has lived in Scone all his life.
"Joel was lucky enough to represent his school, as well as the region, a few years ago overseas.
"The once-in-a-lifetime tour consisted of 20 students from throughout the Hunter Valley.
"To coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing, in 2015, the district council decided to embark on an ambitious project.
"The organisation helped young Australians connect with the legacy of Gallipoli and the significance of Anzac Day.
"This meant touring and attending the Dawn Service on the Gallipoli Peninsula, which I'm sure made quite an impression on Joel."
Mrs Ferguson said the committee had, again, worked hard to plan this month's event.
"Over the past few years, the crowds have risen for the Gundy service," she explained.
"The local community really supports it.
"And, the timing of our ceremony means residents from other areas can also attend.
"Participants will meet at the Linga Longa Hotel at 8.30am for a march-off at 8.45am to the Soldiers Memorial Hall where the service will start at 9am.
"The Osborne Bus Company is providing a free coach, too, for anyone who would like a lift out and will return afterwards.
"The bus leaves the Scone RSL Club at 8am, will drive past the hotels and the Scone Bowling Club (Gundy Road entrance).
"Morning tea will follow the service."
