The inaugural TAB Triple Header hit off at the course, with 16 teams vying for the honours in a nine-hole Ambrose competition.
The event also added an extra dimension to the Scone Horse Festival calendar, according to committee president David Gatwood.
"The Scone Race Club, TAB, Scone Golf Club, Scone RSL Club, Upper Hunter Shire Council and William Inglis & Sons joined forces to create the initiative, which also includes a sportsman's luncheon, followed by the Inglis Official Scone Cup Calcutta," he said.
"I'd like to congratulate everyone involved in the concept - it's terrific.
"The golf day was originally scheduled for the new Scone layout, but it's still a couple of weeks away from completion.
"So, we thank the Muswellbrook club for stepping in at the last minute.
"We've got 64 players here [today], representing organisations like TAB, Inglis, Yarraman Park, Godolphin, Scone Race Club, Ausure, Scone Equine Group, Warburtons, Morgan English, Upper Hunter Shire Council and the Hunter Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
"Colin Selwood from The Cottage has dished up some tasty treats, while the boys from Yalumba Wines are sure to keep all the participants hydrated.
"The luncheon - featuring champion jockey Darren Beadman and league legend Laurie Daley - will take place at the Scone Sporties afterwards, while the Calcutta will wrap up proceedings at the Scone RSL Club this evening.
"I'm sure everyone is in for a great time."
