Meanwhile, the real front-runner on the day was the Fashions on the Field competition, hosted by Nine presenter and Darley Scone Cup Carnival ambassador Julie Snook and organised by the The Herd's Acey Firth.
The rain held out for the competitors, with the latest in stunning autumn fashion on show in four categories: Best Dressed Local Lady, Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man and Best Millinery Award.
The final decision came down to a panel of three judges, Julie Snook's partner and Australian actor Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Racing NSW's Julianne Horsman and Sydney Fashion Agent and Stylist Lauren Slater.
The local category was taken out by Scone Public School teacher and Scone local Jessica Faras.
Mudgee's Liliana Birchall was sashed best dressed lady while Camilla Piggott took out the millinery award in her striking purple outfit.
Meanwhile, the men strutted their stuff with Sam McGlone from Braidwood, New South Wales, judged as the most on trend male in his dapper checkered suit.
