Traffic was affected in both directions on the New England Highway, between Gundy and Turanville roads, as emergency services attended the scene of the incident.
After receiving the original mission, the WRHS was then redirected to Scott Memorial Hospital when NSW Ambulance paramedics conveyed the male patient by road.
It is believed the 43-year-old suffered head injuries.
The man is reported to be in a stable condition.
