Cassie has Down Syndrome however it hasn't stopped the determined Upper Hunter local from chasing her dreams.
Joining Toogee Martial Arts Scone in March this year, she has embraced the sport which will see her perform at an international level over the long weekend.
Cassie is travelling to New Zealand to represent Toogee Martial Arts and Australia at the International Special Needs Taekwon-Do Games and she said she's looking forward to every moment.
"I'm just loving it at martial arts," she said.
"Master Frost is a brilliant Master to us, he gave me a green stripe on my yellow belt. I loved it. Tim is a magnificent friend to me, he is a wonderful man."
Jill Hamling, who founded Showstoppers Ability Services in Scone, is accompanying Cassie on her adventure.
She said the focus of her small service is delivering one-on-one programs to develop her participant's skills before moving them to smaller groups then progressing them into the community.
Jill joined Toogee Martial Arts in Scone at the same time as Cassie and has found the sport hugely beneficial.
"The sport is so inclusive and Cassie has really embraced it," she said.
Jill first started teaching Cassie 20 years ago, when she was three, and the pair share a very special bond which is immediately recognisable when you see them together.
"The motto at Showstoppers Ability Services is 'Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion' and Cassie would like to mentor other people with disabilities and show people that dreams can come true," Jill said.
With the help of Cassie's mother, Jill has assisted Cassie to launch into her own fashion designs.
Cassie now has a Facebook and YouTube page called "Cassie Fisher Designs" and she thoroughly enjoys drawing her own designs.
"We have also applied to have a short film made about the development of her designs from the road to the catwalk," Jill explained.
Assistant instructor at Toogee Martial Arts, Scone, Paul Turri, is completing training to become a special needs instructor.
On Tuesday night at the club's weekly meeting he spoke about Cassie's journey through martial arts and described her as "an inspirational young lady".
"I enjoy teaching people of all ages and abilities and Cassie is no different to anyone else," he said.
"Taekwon-Do is an individual sport and it's an individual journey and it's been great to watch Cassie's progression.
"We have even got Jill on board as well so they're learning together.
"Cassie is an inspirational young lady, she's always got a great big smile on her face and is always willing to have a go."
