The competition searches for the best junior league moment on the field each year with thousands of dollars up for grabs for the winner's local club.
The Merriwa Junior Rugby League Football Club under-7 player reached the top two thanks to a video entry of a great four-pointer he scored against the Scone Thoroughbreds this season.
After kicking off and recovering a fumble by the opposition, Swan skirts down the sideline to touch down in the corner.
Being named runner-up was a dream come true for the 7-year-old, who also received complimentary tickets to the Sydney Roosters verse Canberra Raiders NRL grand final at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.
An avid Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks fan, Oscar was over the moon to witness the Shark's feeder club, the Newtown Jets, win against the Burleigh Bears in the final seconds of the game earlier in the day.
"He got a few of the Jets player's signatures - he told me I can't wash his shirt ever again," said mum Amy Swan who accompanied Oscar.
"I'm a Roosters fan, have been since I was a kid, so both teams that we were supporting won.
"He stood up with the Raiders supporters and did the Viking Clap and that was awesome to witness first hand."
Amy said the atmosphere was electric, and between both sides' fans cheering and chanting it was "pretty well deafening".
"We stayed in the same hotel as the Roosters and Oscar got to high-five a few of the players as they walked past going to get on the bus to go to the stadium, also randomly met Wally Lewis," she said.
The experience caps off a terrific year for the young Magpie, who's registered 33 tries throughout 2019.
Amy said it was heart warming to know so many people voted for her son.
"Oscar getting so far in this competition is proof of how far children, even from small towns, can get when they have people supporting them," she said.
"We are extremely grateful to each and every voter. Oscar would not have had this opportunity without the support - you've given a 7 year old an experience of a life time. Thank you!"
