SNRC manager Lee Watts said Christmas is a special time of the year when everyone should be happy, especially children who should be excited for a visit from the big guy in red, Santa.
"The Neighbourhood Centre is encouraging anyone that is a position to do so to add an extra item to their shopping trolley, or buy a gift to go under another family's tree," she said.
"Not everyone will wake up Christmas morning to presents under a tree and smiles from family, however the Scone Neighbourhood Centre hope with your help we can add some Christmas cheer to the families that are doing it tough this year."
Food items or a present with the age of the child written on it can be dropped to the Neighbourhood Centre on 130 Liverpool Street, Scone by the end of November.
"We will make sure it gets to a good home," Mrs Watts said.
"In advance we thank everyone for their generosity and wish everyone a very merry Christmas."
