It will be among more than 310 schools across the state that will temporarily cease operations due to an increased danger rating.
A temperature of 36 degrees is predicted for Scone, with winds expected to reach up to 50 kilometres per hour in the morning.
SHS principal Brian Drewe said the decision for the closure wasn't made locally, but that it was in the best interests of the students.
"Scone High School is on the edge of town and we're known as a fire prone school due to that because we back onto farmland and bushland," he said.
"We will be informing parents at 4:30 pm tomorrow as to the events of the next day."
Services to other schools will be affected, with the bus service from Merriwa to St Joseph's Aberdeen not scheduled on Tuesday due to the conditions.
The Rural Fire Service issued a statement earlier today warning people about the significance of tomorrow's conditions.
"Catastrophic is the highest level of bush fire danger," a NSW RFS spokesperson said.
"Homes are not designed to withstand a fire under these conditions.
"If a fire starts and takes hold during 'catastrophic danger' conditions, lives and homes will be at risk."
