New hotel for Sydney
Singapore Group takes over our historic Post Office
Luxury hotel group Fullerton, known for its stunning property in Singapore, has opened its doors in Sydney's Martin Place. Taking over the former GPO building at No.1 Martin Place from the Westin Group - ironically, Fullerton's flagship Singapore establishment is also a former post office - the Fullerton Sydney will offer its signature afternoon tea paired with a new cocktail, the Sydney Sling, a homage to the original Singapore Sling.

The new inner-city trailer park
It's not a motel. It's not a caravan park. It's a modern-day funky trailer park on Flinders Lane in the heart of Melbourne city. Check in to one of six super-sleek silver Airstream trailers, resplendent in 1970s charm but refitted as designer urban pads in a CBD carpark.
The Airstream With Benefits is the top offer, even boasting an open-air spa. The other five not-so-standard 31-foot trailers have their own decks which open onto a communal area, a great spot to chill outside. Or settle in the lounge area with an iPad Pro full of goodies such as Netflix (and free wi-fi, of course). If you can bear to leave your trailer, ask the iPad's virtual concierge for tips on where to eat, drink and play.

Flat-beds come to economy
Air New Zealand has introduced the Skycouch, a revolutionary economy flat-bed - allowing the third seat in a row to be booked for half-price - and the seats turn into a bed, using the footrest as an extra extension. It's still only 155-centimetres long - but is said to be a godsend for families travelling with young children.
Couples who upgrade to Skycouch Economy are guaranteed the row all to themselves (no sharing with strangers), so you can spread out across the three seats with both middle armrests raised. And... the loos have had an element of razzle-dazzle added - with bookshelves and chandeliers (if only they were real) plastered to the walls.
