WHAT'S ON

Annual community Christmas Carols at Strathearn Village on December 1

THE sound of carols will light up the night on Sunday as Strathearn Village celebrates the joy of Christmas.

Fur for all is guaranteed when you join the residents from Strathearn and the Scone Singers at the Community Christmas Carols at Strathearn Aged Care Village, Stafford Street, Scone on December 1.

Commencing at 6pm with a barbecue dinner cooked by the Scone Lions Club, the carols will begin at 7pm.

There will also be cold drinks, tea, coffee and cake available.

The front garden of the village is a wonderful venue for families to enjoy ringing in the Christmas season.

Programs will be available for free, courtesy of the Upper Hunter Shire Council and if you would like an electric candle they can be purchased for a gold coin.

In the event of wet weather the carols will be held indoors.
