IN the lead up to this festive season, support for a local Christmas program has been amazing, says Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC) manager Lee Watts.

"I am overwhelmed by the generosity of this community again this year," Mrs Watts said.
The SNRC Christmas program provides food hampers and gifts to families that are doing it tough.
The program has been supported through drives at The Nook, Peppers Hair Studio and Scone & District Pre School.
"The program receives no funding and relies solely on donations, so a big thankyou goes out to this community and local businesses that have generously donated food, essential items, gifts and cash," Mrs Watts added.
"Many people donate to the neighbourhood centre on a regular basis and keep our pantry stocked, we truly are so very thankful for your ongoing support."
No one chooses to be in a position of need and through no fault of their own this year there are families who need a little help to put food on their table or to place a Christmas present under the tree for a child.
If you are in a position to support the Christmas program, please drop your food items, a present or financial support to 130 Liverpool Street, Scone.
If you need a little help this Christmas please reach out and leave your details with staff by phoning 6545 2562 or calling into the Neighbourhood Centre.
"From Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre Committee, staff and volunteers we wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year," Mrs Watts concluded.
