And, with the Bengalla Hunter Valley Group 21 club gearing up to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, that ethos won't change anytime soon.
The organisation has big plans to commemorate the milestone in style, notwithstanding its desire to secure a hat-trick of first grade titles along the way.
Adding to the festive mood is the news Scone Park will undergo a facelift.
The Thoroughbreds received $243,750 from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund towards an underground irrigation system, improvements to the field surface and lighting upgrades.
"The ground should look a million bucks - and the timing's perfect," president Tom Hagan said.
"We're looking forward to acknowledging our centenary.
"At this stage, we are hoping to host a 100-Year Ball on the June long weekend, as well as a golf day and race meeting.
"It's important to honour the club's history."
Since their formation, the Thoroughbreds boast an incredible record of accomplishments - the envy of any rival organisation.
The nursery's pretty impressive, too, with David Adams (Manly, Balmain), Darren Albert (Newcastle, Cronulla, St Helens), Kyle Warren (North Queensland, Castleford), Mick Tilse (North Sydney, Canberra), John Morris (Newcastle, Parramatta, Wests, Cronulla), Todd Lowrie (Newcastle, Parramatta, Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane), Dane Tilse (Newcastle, Canberra), Adam Clydsdale (Newcastle, Canberra, Cronulla) and Cade Cust (Manly) all achieving elite status as individuals.
Scone's also secured 30 senior premierships (1922, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1958, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1976, 1979, 1988, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2016, 2018, 2019); 15 reserve grade crowns; 16 under-18 victories; and five - from a possible six - in league tag.
"Don't forget our lone second division trophy," Hagan said.
"So, we're arguably the most successful club in bush footy.
"And, it is something we're extremely proud of.
"Thirty [first grade] titles in 99 years is tremendous.
"Hopefully, we can improve on that number in 2020.
"But, it's a wall of honour that any sporting club, not only rugby league, would die for."
