IN support of the 30th annual Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, March 1, there will be a range of events held to keep our shire looking great.

Upper Hunter residents are being invited to 'Step Up to Clean Up' in their local communities, bring the family, and enjoy a barbecue and morning tea afterwards.
Rubbish bags will be available but please bring along a pair of gloves and a water bottle, and wear sensible shoes, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
In Merriwa, volunteers can register at the Merriwa Lion's Park, Driver Reviver Station from 8am.
Volunteers can enjoy a free morning tea after the clean up at 10am.
The minimum age for unaccompanied participants is 15 years.
All participants required to wear closed in shoes.

Murrurundi will participating in the Schools Clean Up day on Friday, February 28, this is an alternate date as there are no official activities on the March 1.

Scone volunteers can meet at Elizabeth Park from 9am to register and teams will be allocated to nearby areas.
A free sausage sizzle for participants will be held from 11am to 11.30am with a lucky door prize to be announced.
