Residents lined up on Kelly Street to pay their respects on the solemn day of remembrance of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers who fought and died at Gallipoli in 1915.
Scone RSL Sub-Branch president Val Quinell told The Advocate more than 600 people attended the 2019 dawn service.
The 2020 commemorations across Scone and the Upper Hunter will look quite different to those of previous years.
While the coronavirus pandemic means that residents are not able to gather together to reflect on the sacrifices of our service men and women, RSL NSW is encouraging people to try something new.
Scone residents are being encouraged to go to the end of their driveway or stand on their balcony and listen to a brief commemorative service, at 6am on Anzac Day.
