Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked at 1:15pm to rendezvous with a road ambulance at Scone Airport.
ASNSW Paramedics responded to a property north of Scone and have treated a 21year-old male for a partially amputated thumb following an accident with a hydraulic wood splitter.
The Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team will escort the patient as he is airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital for further specialist treatment. He is in a stable condition
