The nonagenarian acknowledged the milestone with his three children - Leanne McPhee (Randwick), Primrose Robb (Bathurst) and Andrew McPhee (Scone) - and granddaughter Lisa McPhee at a special morning tea in the grounds of Strathearn House, in Gundy Road.
"It was a lovely occasion," daughter Leanne McPhee told the Advocate.
"His other granddaughter, who lives in Canberra, attended the breakfast function via Skype.
"On top of that, dad also received birthday congratulations via video from his four grandsons, their partners and great grandchildren.
"My father was born in Scone, spent his early years in Gundy, and has lived in the district all his life.
"He loves the area.
"One of the highlights [of the other day] was a photo of dad with his cake, surrounded by the three of us."
