Chief Executive of the RAA, Sean O'Connell said all invoices for the 2019/20 financial year need to be submitted to the RAA by September 30 in order for payments to be made to eligible primary producers.
"The RAA is committed to helping farmers recover from the worst drought in living memory and we don't want to see any farmer entitled to a subsidy miss out," Mr O'Connell said.
"Claiming the transport subsidy is simple and can be done online at the RAA website and I am urging everyone to sit down and do it today.
"In May, the NSW Government announced an additional $116 million to continue the Drought Transport Subsidy until December 31, 2020, in recognition of the ongoing drought conditions across rural and regional NSW.
"In addition, fro July 1, the Drought Transport Subsidy has been expanded to include transport of purchased stock to a farm business."
Farmers who would like help submitting their invoices can contact the Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593, their nearest Local Land Services office or the Rural Financial Counselling Service on 1800 686 175.
