This year, rather than cancel the popular event, the Murrurundi Arts and Crafts Council will deliver the competition online in a virtual exhibition.
In another first, organisers are inviting all schools in the region to take part.
Open to emerging photographers the competition will feature two sections - schools and community.
It offers eight exciting entry classes such as scenery, people, pets, wildlife, action, still-life and even computer-generated imagery.
Entries open on October 1 and close on October 14. Winners will be announced on October 23 and a virtual exhibition will be available to view online from October 24 to November 1.
The 'Best in Show" will be judged from all class winners and awarded $500 by the major sponsor AGL. A further $200 will be awarded to each of the individual class winners.
For the Schools Photographic Competition there are two prizes on offer proudly sponsored by Bettington Rural, Real Estate / Stock and Station Agent and Zero Mass Water, Creating drinking water from just sunlight and air.
The most successful Primary and High School will each receive a one year subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software.
The student photographers whose photos win their respective classes will receive an individual certificate of recognition.
More information, entry forms, definition for each class and full terms and conditions are available on the MACC website.
