At 6.30pm on Monday night personnel from Wybong and Mangoola Rural Fire Brigades, Denman Fire and Rescue and local SES were tasked to a property on Wybong Road in Wybong.
Upon arrival they were met with a horse that had fallen 2 metres into an underground concrete water tank and was unable to get out.
After a collaborative effort - which saw them work into the early hours of Tuesday morning - the pony was finally set free, with heavy machinery required to lift it out.
Thankfully, the animal was able to be safely removed without injury.
