HONOUR: Upper Hunter Shire Council has proposed naming the new canteen facilities at the Rosedale Complex in Murrurundi after Bob Paton.

Upper Hunter Shire Council has said it wants to name new canteen facilities at the Rosedale Complex in Murrurundi after community member Bob Paton, who passed away on Saturday, August 22.

Mayor Maurice Collison said Mr Paton was a well-loved member of the Murrurundi community

"Bob's contribution to the community was invaluable, he was involved in many community organisations including the King of the Ranges Stockman's Challenge Committee and also volunteered his time as caretaker of the Rosedale Complex in Murrurundi for many years," Mr Collison said.

The council is now inviting submissions on the proposed name which will close on Friday, November 5, 2021.
