A man, accused of running multiple clandestine methylamphetamine laboratories, has been arrested after a gas mask and drug precursor chemicals were allegedly found in his car during a traffic stop.

The 35-year-old man was charged after police allegedly seized more than $10 million in methylamphetamine from two drug labs in Sydney.

An investigation into the man's alleged drug production was launched in April 2024 after police found two kilograms of cocaine and six kilograms of methylamphetamine at a clandestine laboratory in Rhodes, Sydney.
Investigators searched another alleged drug lab in North Ryde, Sydney on August 22 where ten kilograms of methylamphetamine was found.
Both labs were producing "large quantities of methylamphetamine", police allege.
The 35-year-old was arrested after a roadside drug test returned a positive result for methylamphetamine.
He was charged with two counts of manufacturing large commercial prohibited drug, two counts of supplying large commercial prohibited drug, two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of entering a drug premises and possess ID information to commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail and his case remains before the court.
Investigations into the clandestine labs continue, police said.
