Best for: Visit the Osijek Citadel complex for a walking tour and enjoy a concert in the Rising of the Holy Cross Church. Explore Holy Trinity Square and stroll the picturesque promenade along the Drava River. Drive along European Avenue, the most scenic street in Osijek, lined with elegant baroque and Belle Epoque buildings.
Best time to visit: During the shoulder seasons of April to May and September to October. It's lesser-known to tourists, making it far less crowded and more affordable than Croatia's seaside resorts.
