Globally-inspired menu adds soba noodles and chickpea masala.

After serving mile-high margaritas for summer, Virgin Australia has released the details of what Aussies flying in winter will be served.
Globally-inspired dishes like soba noodles, chickpea masala and quesadillas fill the menu, but classic Aussie favourites steal the show.
Beef pie and classic sausage rolls for economy class fliers and a chicken parmigiana with roast vegetables for those in business.

Virgin Australia business class passengers enjoy a rotating menu included in their ticket price, while economy passengers pay for their food and get coffee and tea for free.
Other items added to the economy menu include spinach and ricotta tortellini, triple cheese, and caramelised onion sandwiches. Archie Rose peach gin and soda is available as an economy class beverage option.
The business class menu launches from May 28 and also features a blueberry pancake stack, mango coconut chia pudding, pulled beef macaroni cheese, cheese tortellini with sundried tomato pesto, brown rice salad with edamame and a sticky date cake.

Virgin Australia's general product and customer strategy manager, Kyler Chong, said his airline believes flying should be "as enjoyable as the destination, right down to what's served onboard".
"Our new winter menu embodies our passion for bringing personality to the skies, featuring fresh, flavour-packed options designed to add value and delight at every bite," Mr Chong said.
