We are hoping to recruit an army of 32,000 big hearted volunteers to knock on doors in their neighbourhood with the aim of raising $1.5 million to help the fight against heart disease, the number one killer of men and women in NSW.
As a charity, we rely on the generosity of big hearted Australians and corporate sponsors to continue the fight against heart disease.
Volunteering to doorknock for the Heart Foundation Big Heart Appeal is one of the simplest and most rewarding ways to join the fight against heart disease.
Most people don’t realise it, but heart disease is the number one cause of death in NSW, taking the life of 18 people every single day.
In the past decade, one in six families has lost a loved one to heart disease.
This heartache needs to stop.
The fight against heart disease depends on vital research.
With the help of big hearted Australians we can fund the best heart researchers to work towards a world free of heart disease.
As a collector, volunteers are allocated approximately 20 houses to doorknock either in their own street or in their local neighbourhood.
They will also be provided with an official Heart Foundation Big Heart Appeal collector kit.
We’d encourage people to show how big their hearts are by volunteering to doorknock and collect vital funds for the Heart Foundation Big Heart Appeal.
