I wonder how many residents of Scone ever drive along Yarrandi Road?
I would imagine very few, given the parlous state of this road.
Year after year this busy road is ignored by the council.
In spite of receiving a hasty run over with the grader last August, it had returned to its corrugated state by the end of December.
It is impossible to avoid the corrugated surface, which runs from Bunnan Road through to Moobi Road, with not a smooth section to be found along its entire length.
It is, of course, an insult to the residents and commuters on this road (of which I am one) and they must surely feel like second rate citizens, given the gross discrimination shown them year after year.
As a frequent user of the road, I find it extremely frustrating and annoying having to drive at 20 to 30km/hr to avoid damage to my car.
To add insult to injury, I see streets in town newly re-surfaced where previously the surface had been perfectly adequate.
Of course ratepayers have no say on where road grants are allocated, but why are the residents et al on this road not considered worthy of consideration, and some serious repair work carried out?
