The missing camper has been found safe and well in the Hunter.
Police established a crime scene on Saturday night when the 43-year-old man was reported missing and began searching the area near Timor Caves camp ground near Murrurundi without success.
About 12pm on Sunday police received information from a friend of the missing man stating that he had spoken to him at an address in Rutherford the previous evening, and that he was safe and well.
Later that night police found the missing man at a Telarah address. He did not appear to have any injuries.

POLICE are coordinating a search for a man who went missing while on a camping trip in the Hunter Valley on Saturday.

The 43-year-old man was last seen about 4am, when he walked away from the Timor Caves Camping Ground near Murrurundi.
His group became concerned after he failed to return and they conducted a search of the area without success.
Police were contacted about 7pm.
A coordinated land search started at 7am on Sunday, utilising officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command, the Dog Unit, PolAir, Northern Region Operations Support Group, Murrurundi State Emergency Service and Murrurundi Volunteer Rescue Association.
The missing man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall and about 70kg.
He has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing jeans and a jumper.
