LOCAL netballers have been working towards this moment for months.
Two representative sides from Scone, the Opens and under-17s, will compete in the prestigious state championships at Newcastle this weekend.
The girls have been training hard since February with the support of their coaches, Derrian Rando, Natalie Walters and Robyn Adams.
Both teams have competed in the Hunter State League competition and representative carnivals in preparation for the championships.
Traditionally held over the June long weekend, the tournament brings together elite netballers from across the state over three days, with champions in each division crowned at the end of the final day.
This year there will be competitions in the Open Championship, 21/U Championship ,17/U Championship,17/U Division 2, Open Division 2 and 17/U Division 3.
The Scone girls have worked hard to raise funds and would like to thank their generous sponsors and everyone who has supported them.
The committee and members of Scone and District Netball Association would like to wish the teams every success and are sure the girls will do themselves and the organisation proud.
