SCONE High School has embraced the onesie style and raised more than $500 for type 1 juvenile diabetes.
An inaugural fundraiser on Friday was the brainchild of school captain Rachael Pittman.
Due to a number of students suffering from the condition, the school community got into the spirit, with students and staff, including principal Lindy Hunt and deputy Leigh Rowney, joining in by donning onesies for the day.
A total of $567.75 was raised through a gold coin donation and a bake sale, which was held at recess.
“This day was such a huge success considering it was the first time we had held a fundraiser like this,” staff member Coral Hagan said.
In the coming weeks, Scone High School will also be hosting a ‘Beanies for Brain Cancer’ fundraiser, which is also very important to both the school and local community.
If you would like to donate to this wonderful cause, please contact Mrs Hagan on 6545 1455.
