Scone’s October monthly market is in the pink to support the Pink Ribbon Day campaign.
Head to the Scone Visitor Information and Horse Centre (VIC) for the market from 12pm to 4pm, on Saturday, October 8.
Visitors and market stallholders are encouraged to dress up in pink and get behind the fundraising activities at the markets in support of the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
Enjoy the sausage sizzle and live music by Andrew Wu and Jan Sinclair, as well as the myriad of market stalls.
Upper Hunter Shire mayor Wayne Bedggood said the market days were growing each month.
“The Scone Monthly Markets are starting to take off as a day not to miss,” Cr Bedggood said.
“Each market has had a theme and live music and novelties at past markets such as the snow and bubble machines and the jumping castles are working their magic and turning what was a very quiet day into a great community day.
“Council holds the markets to promote a sense of community, boost the local economy, help small businesses and artisans, and keep the Scone CBD vibrant on weekends.
“Everyone is invited to drop in to the Scone Country Markets and support Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.”
From November, the Scone monthly markets will be on from 9am for the hotter months.
